two witches are fighting outside, they are sisters. myself and eight others are taking shelter upstairs in and old house but I noticed there is significant water damage and mold and decided it'd be safer to risk crossing the brick road to the barber shop and take shelter there instead. all agree except two girls I don't know, I don't know anyone in this dream. we cross a magnificent brick road to a barber shop and board the windows. a girl tricks me into doing my hair the way I love it by telling me she'd like to do it but wants me to show her how, I was surprised and pleased. three men sit and talk amongst themselves. the two girls who stayed behind joined us and one said some of us think we could've stopped them if we'd just been brave enough. I was offended but noticed she was struggling to get up so ask if she needed a hand. I helped her up. I was jolted awake by a loud noise.
Dreams can be deeply personal and their meanings can vary greatly from person to person. However, there are common themes and symbols that can offer insight. Let’s break down some of the key elements of your dream:
The Witches Fighting: Witches often symbolize power, transformation, and sometimes conflict. The fact that they are sisters may suggest a familial or relational conflict in your waking life, or possibly an internal struggle between two aspects of yourself. The fighting could indicate a clash of values or desires.
Taking Shelter and Water Damage: The act of seeking shelter represents a desire for safety or comfort. Water damage and mold can symbolize issues that have been festering or neglected—perhaps emotions or situations in your life that need attention. It could also represent feeling overwhelmed by your environment.
Crossing the Brick Road: Roads in dreams often symbolize life paths or choices. The brick road being "magnificent" could represent a journey or decision that seems appealing or significant. The act of crossing it suggests a willingness to take risks for a better situation.
The Barber Shop: This setting can symbolize change or transformation—barbers often change people's appearances. Since you chose to take shelter here, it could indicate your need for renewal or a change in how you express yourself.
Hair and Self-Expression: The interaction regarding your hair reflects your identity and how you wish to present yourself to the world. The pleasure you felt at being able to express your style can symbolize a desire for authenticity and self-acceptance.
The Disagreement Amongst the Group: The disagreement with the girls who chose to stay behind shows contrasting perspectives on bravery and action. Their belief that they could have stopped the witches indicates feelings of regret or inadequacy that might resonate with you in real life.
Helping the Struggling Girl: Your willingness to help someone in need reflects attributes like compassion, kindness, and a sense of responsibility. It suggests that even in the face of conflict or disagreement, you value support and community, even with unfamiliar faces.
Ending with a Loud Noise: Being jolted awake by a loud noise can represent a sudden awakening or realization in your life. This could suggest that there are issues demanding your immediate attention or a need to become more aware of your surroundings and situations.
Overall Interpretation: Your dream seems to convey themes of navigating conflict—both internal and external—and the quest for safety and self-identity. It highlights the importance of community, as well as your capacity for compassion, even when facing uncertainty or disagreement. Additionally, it may be urging you to address neglected issues in your life to move forward without fear.
